Homesick....
I knew this experience would be hard on me, but I wasn't prepared how homesick my soldier would be. hes doubting himself and really wanting to just come back...
Please anyone that prays, keep Zach in them and pray for some comfort for him!
Doubt is normal! My son went through it! If he's still in reception, then he's bored, and constantly thinks about home. This is a big test for him. He's alone, in a strange place. He'll be ok!
Thanks ladies... thats what I keep telling him. He is going nuts just sitting in Reception. He was supposed to start Boot Camp last Weds, but they help them over a week... hopefully this week. i keep telling him as soon as he gets busy he will forget all about everything but his pillow when he is allowed to see that lol
I am a proud mother of an Army Solider too, he just completed his first year. He has been home sick since day 1, he has 2 siblings that he hasn't seen in over a year. Hopefully we see him before he deploys though. Tell your son to hang in there, time flys fast and before he knows it you will be there visiting each other in the mean time his "Brothers" will keep him occupied on there new adventures. Be Strong MOM!
